Quay Sunglasses Review

Wednesday, 20 May 2015

Every girl needs a good pair of sunglasses. I just recently purchased mine from Quay Australia and I am in love with them already...

I'm sure you've all seen Quay sunglasses somewhere, with celebrities like Shay Mitchell and Miley Cyrus constantly wearing them, they're hard to miss. I've been in love with the brand for a few months now and adored my first pair so much I just had to order two more.

The Asha sunglasses (First picture | Top) are my favourite, they have a gorgeous gold frame with a purple/blue lense. All Quay sunglasses offer 100% UV protection and provide an impressive shield from glare.

The second pair (First picture | Bottom) are called the Modstar. I ordered these because I have been lusting over the Rayban Round Metal glasses for the longest time and they are very similar in shape and colour. When they arrived I was more than impressed with the similarity and for a fifth of the price I was extremely happy.

Both pairs are relatively cheap, costing around $45 with free shipping to Australia. If you have ever thought about purchasing any Quay sunglasses I highly recommend them.

What I Wore: Feeling Autumnal

Wednesday, 13 May 2015

It's starting to get slightly cooler here in Brisbane, which calls for leather jackets and long sleeved crops... This is what I wore this week.

As the weather cools down I've started to strip back the colour in my wardrobe and started pulling out some winter staples. My leather jacket from DISSH is one of my absolute favourite pieces in my wardrobe and I was so excited when I realised I could start wearing it again.

Just recently I purchased this adorable ribbed cropped top from Universal, I believe it was part of a 2 for $50 deal. It really is perfect for fall weather and I'm sure it'll be one of my most worn items this season.

I've had both my sandals and my shorts for a while and find them both extremley comfortable and easy to style.

I added my Mimco bracelet as a statement jewellery piece as well as my Rayban Clubmaster sunglasses.

What is your favourite piece?

OOTD: How I style a Turtleneck

Tuesday, 5 May 2015

It is getting slightly cooler here in Brisbane, which in my opinion calls for turtlenecks and kimonos. Heres how I styled it...

This outfit is perfect for the weather here in Australia right now as it's slowly starting to cool down. I wore this particular outfit to uni and it was the perfect mix of cute and comfortable.

Turtlenecks are back this fall and I am loving it. I got mine last week at David Jones and I couldn't be happier with it. Now whilst I love this turtleneck I'm not so much a fan of ones in print fabrics and will probably stick to neutral colours when it comes to this trend.

I paired it with a super lightweight kimono from Romwe and pair of skort-like shorts from Sabo Skirt. I think both are adorable and make the perfect combination.

My shoes were an absolute steal from Betts for Her and were down from $60 to $20, if you're quick they might just have your size left!

A Change in Season: Outfit Inspiration

Wednesday, 22 April 2015

It’s finally starting to feel like Autumn here in Australia. The days have been getting shorter and the nights cooler. My favourite thing about a change in season is change in style so I’m very excited to show you what I have been wearing.

I’ve had most of these items in my closest for a while now; they really all are staple pieces in my eyes.

I wore my Betts for Her boots into the ground last winter and they are honestly so comfortable. They have the perfect size heel that makes it easy for them to be transitioned from a work to weekend outfit.

I don’t spend a lot of money on white clothes, as I can’t seem to keep them in good enough condition. My striped tee was only around $12 from Myer’s Miss Shop and it fits perfectly.

My shorts were actually from a little store called STRUTT at Brisbane’s Direct Factory Outlet. They are my go to pair of high-waisted black shorts as they fit perfectly.  I often struggle with shorts not being tight enough around the waist and then clinging to my thighs so these were an absolute find!

Finally, the piece that pulls together the outfit is my gorgeous denim jacket from Forever New. It was slightly pricey as I believe it cost around $80 but much like my boots I get so much wear out of it and couldn’t be happier with it.
